The Salmon Arm and Shuswap Lake  Agriculture Association has a purpose to promote agriculture and assist in community development. The Fair also includes a large trade show, 4-H competition, open livestock exhibits, antique tractors, a "home and garden exhibits," as well as displays of art, photography, fruit, vegetable, floral, needle and kitchen arts. There are stages featuring more than 80 local entertainers. Special attractions such as SuperDogs, Knights of Valour,  West Coast Thunder Equestrian Drill Team, heavy horse competitions and more are featured every day. The annual parade leaves the fairgrounds and winds it’s way through downtown Salmon Arm on Saturday.
